Last Day Part 4

It has taken me over a month to finish reflecting on my last day in Japan. I wonder why its taking me so long to finish. *sigh
After discussion Hiro had class so I went around the school with Kosuke taking pictures. I took some pictures and we went to the conbi for the last time to buy lunch things. Kosuke however wanted to go o 7-11 to read the latest issue of Jump, and then needed to go to his bank at the station so i waited for him at school in the CIE. I met up with more people and got more signatures for my book. When I saw the only other Japanese girl that talks in discussion club i sat down to get her to sign Dee's book, while she asked me questions for a survey. Her survey was for her class about Foreign high schools. When she looked at Dee's book she saw Hiro's page she said oh "hiro, thats my ex boyfriend". Out of all random by the way >.<

Last Day Part 3

So my last day it Japan wasn't epic or even full of tears. I woke up alittle late and got to school kind of late cause I had to wait for the evil Okasan to do my room check. So i had to vacuum and re wash my dishes cause both of these items weren't clean enough >.<>.<, I hurried to school to meet Kosuke. One of the few people out of my group of friends either still in Japan or still around. >.<



This discussion was one of the best ones. Kelly wasnt there thank-goodness, but since it was the day after swine flu zombie outbreak, not so many people came. Taka and Sho had many verbal discussions (fights, as I call them). But it was great and i had a really good time that day. I almost forgot that I was leaving the next morning, and that this was my last discussion. I got afew more people to sign my book, and also Dees book. But it suxed that so many people didn't come so i couldn't get so many signatures. I gotta upload the aftermath pics.





The Disscussion was something like "Should business hire employees for a lifetime, or workbase preformance" I had a great time, I miss discussion so much, actually i never imagined me going to a club you u sit in a circle and talk. LOL

Part 2

One of Tomo's friends go lost on the way so while we wait for him Hiro texed me asking if he could come, and then I saw Karl and his crew. Bowling was fun. I made a deal with Hiro that if I beat him in bowling then he would have to do Purikura. Muhahahahah guess who won, and beat everyone else >.<>.<. But i will never forget her face when I was talking to Hiro about our Purikura deal, and we pinky swore on it and her face was priceless. (insert evil laugh here) That horrible woman also threw her pinky kitty at his head when I was talking to him. >.<>.>
Alex had left for (other) Hiro houses, and Justin had already left. >.< That day we ate lunch at school, hung out with some people then went to Karaoke with Kosuke.

End of my 9month long adventure

So I'm back in America, and I have been here for a week now. I flew in May 27th. It all feels like a dream now, but then when I look at the pictures and get messages from my friends I know it wasnt a dream. Now that I came back nothing at my house has really changed. Sadly enough my parents are still as werid as there are, and the house is the same too. Its cool to hear from other people how proud they are of my year abroad, and are excited to hear about my future plans, but since things havent changed here my parent opinions havent changed. My major,language skills, and career goals are still "this asain thing you do". *Sigh but as soon as I came back im making plans to leave again but this time for good, but I can do my best and reach my goal to live and work in Asia.

Anywho so my last week in Japan.... PIGGY FLU

Basicly my last week at Kansai Gaidai was runied by swine/HI blah blah flu. On monday i went to school and we where all told that school was going to be closed at 1:30pm for a week. Yes a week because of the rapid (200) people who had caught the swine flu. i remember i was in the CIE with D & Hiro and the confusion after they made that anoucement. In the conbini everything was 50% off so everyone rushed to buy things.
In addition to this our closing cerimony was canceled too. Most people where really sad because this ment that we wouldnt recieve our diploma's or get to dress in Kimono's and eat free food at the cerimony. Nooo also this ment that we where told not to go out, and our Japanese friends couldnt visit us cause us foreigners might give the swine flu to the Japanese. >.<

A couple days I stayed inside with nothign much to do except papers. Other days I went to visit Justin at his house and just chilled out, either going out to get food with people or watching Drama's with D.
Karaoke places where also off limits to everyone because of the swine flu. Ill never forget Karls message on everyone that RING our normal Karaoke Spot didn't want anyone from the seminar house (foreigners) to come to their establishment for fear of the swine flu.

At the end of the zommbie swine flu week, I planned a bowling outing at Makino. Sadly enough it was one of the last time I got to hang out with alot of people before I left. I thought it would just be me and Tomo's two friends but actually yuka, tiff, hiro, karl, and alot of other people came.

Last week... live it up !

Its May 17 I official have nine days left in Japan. *sigh I don't know what I'm feeling about leaving kind of happy and kind of sad. Maybe I was more sad in Korea when I left. Flashback to stuff that has happened i guess things are better than my last blog entry. It even werid to think that last week was my last days of classes, and this week is just final exams then thats it. I dont even have to go to school anymore after wednesday. yay This weekend I went to 2 birthday dinners, Tiki & Kousuke. Tiki's was cool me and tiff went and ate so so much icecream and meat till we like past out LOL. This place cost like $20 dollars but you can eat all the meat that you want for 90mins, but you have to get out once that 90mins is over. Me, Tiff, and tiffs friend went to book off and Tsutaya. Yesterday I got up early and met Tiffianys family at the station to go have a fairwell dinner. This resturant was really small and cute, but we had no ideal what anything on the menu was. Even Miyu and her mom had no ideal what was on the menu. LOL we made our server work for his money by asking him what was each dish, and he had to run in the back to ask the chef.
Anyway the food was good but not enough for $20.00 though. After I came home and took a nap, it was time for Kousuke's Party at Torikisoku. That was alright, but i was so tired of meat from yesterday so i ate alittle. LOL I bought kosuke two figures from One Piece, andanother anime that he likes. Some how i feel like me, and tiffs presents where alittle bit more personal cause she bought him a key chain of his favorite baseball player. However kelly just gave Kosuke a bag of snacks, and alex gave him a bracelet. LOL Yeah Kelly was there i forgot if i explained anything about her in my last entry but bascly she is a terrible person.

Terrible is the only word i can really use other than a curseword to describe her. Kelly and alex are discusting with they way that they throw themselfs on their "Japanese Boy Toys". Cause Japanese boys arent people of course. >.< To sum it up she basicly throws herslef all over Hiro even when other people are talkign to him and expecialy me. *sigh I dont even make eye contact because looking at her is a waste of time. Alex is basicly not any better they way she throws herself on Kosuke but she isnt even my friend anymore i think. She hang out with Kelly all the time and those 2 just avolde me or what even at school. Basicly if I wasnt friends with Kosuke or Hiro I would have any reason to talk to her anymore. I used to be angry and hurt but now I just dont care. These people arent my friends Kelly and definately not alex.

Back to the party not much to say about it just that it was awkward for me tiff and justin siting there while kelly tried to get hiro drunk and flirting, and alex doing the exact same thing. But that aside i still had fun talking and not really eating cause there wasnt much food >.<

High School drama.. wait I thought I was in College

And we are all adults? Maybe its just me. Is it sad I am slowly counting down till i leave here because just so wont be here anymore. Among the million of things that bother me last week I found out something that really bothers me. I was siting around my usually girls and I hear "Hey lets go drinking, Ill bring my boy toy, and you bring yours". Since when are boys toys. I feel like people here are really caught up on the ideal of having a Japanese boyfriend and aren't dont care about peoples personalities at all. After hearing this I didn't want to hear the rest of the conversation and I got up and left. I know if these Japanese boys didn't like being treated like "toys" then they would tell them to stop right? But doesn't it say something bad if your the girl who does it? So I officially have a girl who is jealous of me because I am friends with her boy toy. I guesses this but I got a confirmation from my friend today. Now this boy we will call him Hiro talks to me I dont always talk to him, sits near me, eats lunch whatever cause he is my friend. So its Friday afternoon and the boys finish playing basketball so I go and test out my non existant skills with Hiro then Kosuke. Hiro shows off his surprising good dribble and I get my face handed to me >.<>.< (goodness these boys ) I was told today by tiff that Ms. Kellly told someone to come and break us up, so (my ) alex repeats "yeah go break them up", and Kosuke comes over to break us up. Then that night we where all drinking (meaning everyone else but me LOL, Japanese beer is NASTY) in the park and ms. kelly is all touchy on Hiro all night. Whatever right? Not caring I just chill out and enjoy my Fanta and my Pokky, feeling better about myself cause I dont have throw myslef on someone because I am dieing for attention. Hiro comes up to me and he said "hey wanna play a game?", Im like uh sure >.< *slightly creeped out* But this game was inocent and fun. The game was a fun version of rock paper sizzors where if you will you get to walk for 5 steps each time you beat the other person. Sadly enought that was the most fun I had all night, cause for somereason I forgot about my surroundings and just smilled for the first time in like 3 days. Eventhough I could feel the angry vibes I didnt let it get to me. Last thing that blew my mind this chick lends Hiro her bike but doesnt say anything to the affect of " Get home safe, or be carefull", she saids " Hey be carefull with my bike, cause if you get in trouble then they will trace it back to me". >.<

So the morral of this story? Im going to hang out with other people and enjoy the rest of my time here.

The drama with my so called friends is tooo much. I need to just talk to them about it but for somereason I dont. I wish I could tell them how they hurt my feelings when they leave me behind. When my friend puts a boy first when I come running when she calls. I try so hard to justiy it in my mind and it doesnt work. Friends dont do that, and I'm done. Im done being nice, and not saying anything, and making excuses for terrible friends.

Eww what a emo post lol I gotta do something fun so I can write about it here.
To make matters worse I droped my 200 dollar phone today & Bank of America Over Charged my credit card >.<

Japan ! ^.^ & Hanami

Ok so wow it has been a while .... Goodness its like April. Oh well

Japan um yeah

Im already in my fourth month of my Kansai Gaidai Study abroad. Im enjoying it mostly, but it too has its pluss and flaws. The biggest one is that our program is compeltely different from the program that the Japanese students are doing, so the Japanese students JUST came back to school.But wait didnt I go to Japan to pratice Japanese and meet Japanese people ? >.<>.<. The teacher Saigo Sensei is really funny so i dont mind his class at ^.^. He teaches us so of the most random things and he teaches us really funny things too. Instead of Japanese Writing I take Zen Buddhism, along with Issue in Japan, and Death in Asian Thought. Not really sure why I took the last one but the title sounded really interesting so I took it. Now is Cherry Blossom season in Japan so me and my friends went to do Hanami (Flower Viewing) Hanami is basicly where you sit under the cherry blossoms trees and eat and drink (alchol). Alex and Kosuke reserved a table at this massive park (hambaku koen). The park was nice except it charged a 250 yen entrance fee, and had a hudge sun thing in the front. I thought parks where suposed to be free >.<>.<>. At night the Cherry blossoms where reallly pretty.

Knocked out by Japanese

So basicly I have been Knocked out or rather punched in the face by Japanese and I dont want to fight back anymore. I love Japan but I hate Kansai Gaidai's Program. So much has happened since i got here and Im to tired to write about it. Ill try to go backwards as best as I can.

So Kansai Gaidai has tested me maybe 3 or 4 or 5 i have lost track by now. We take a test when u come to test ur Japanese, then after a busy 1st week u take another test, which could change what level you are already in. I though maybe I should try for three since thats the level I should be in, but I didnt pass that test so I though oh ok Ill be in 2 since i tested in that level, and they cant put u back more right? Wrong so I didnt do well on my test they put me in the lowest level of Japanese 2 I guess because I can read and write Japanese. It was so embarsing going to my normal Japanese class then the teacher tells me to go to the other lower level, and they put a notice in my mail box at 6pm yesterday. WTF who is still at school during that time.

It gets even worse when I saw that I also FAILED my Kanji test due to a combination of incorrect strokes which u lose points, and other stuff. Alot of places on the quiz there wasnt much parshal credit.
It was too much to deal with and I came back here and had to talk to Kyle. I have nevr felt so defted by Japanese since high school. (Where no matter how hard I studied I always barrely got a C, along with every other student cause our teacher tought so fast so no one really got good grades)

The first few days here I got headaches from all the stress of getting papers in, going to orentations, paying for my dorm, buying a bike, and a other crap. Plus my mother calling me to get my finger prints for this government internship that I didnt even get. >.<

Its is and was too much for me to deal with but I tried my best. I just cant memorize soo many words in less than a week and it seems like we are always prepairing for a test. Screw it apparently im not good a Japanese, and im just gonna get the credits for my classes and do my best in my normal classes.

Im getting used to biking everday but it just sucks when u are dead from classes then gotta bike. LOL

One thing I do like about here is the CIE Lounge, lol it makes it easy to find my friends and meet new people.

My $200.00 (and there wasnt any cheeper) phone is nice. Its a mickey phone,that I can watch TV on. I have never spend so much on anything except this laptop . LOL I still cant believe I spent that much .... but when every phone is like $197.00 an the prepaid is $50 + $30 or $50 dollar phone card and u have to watch ur calls be cause its like a dollar per call, with other rescrictions.

Im still having some culture shock from Korea, to China, then Japan. LOL mostly because of the prices, and the language.

The Temple of Heaven ^.^

2 days ago Me, King, and Jimmy went out to this really cheep market near Beijing Zoo. It took us a hour to get there because we needed to take the bus to the subway, transfer lines 2 times, then another bus. >.<>.<>

Next we went to Mc. Donalds for a snack and then rode the train + bus home. Before we went home we ate dinner at a Pizza Buffet. The pizza buffet was more expensive than most places 45rmb but it was good. Jimmy got 7 plates of food and finished almost all of them. Almost as in 6 places full of food. Fatty LOL ^.^

I got into another argument with king after dinner. I asked King was he going to come home tonight because for the past 3 days he has stayed at his dorm.Suxs for me because without him I cant talk to his grandparents or do much of anything because of my lack of Chinese. King answers "I want to watch gosip girl, so I dont want to go home". >.<>

After a long talk while we where in the Temple and on the train back home we solved our problems. I explained to King how the things he said really hurt me. King insists that I am to serious but that is how I am. AIgooooo

Back to the tittle of this blog LOL

The Temple of Heaven was beautiful. ^.^ Its always amazing to see something that has thousands of years history, and that you have studied about so much in class in real life. The temple is surounded by a large park which is a quite escape from the loudness outside. It cost like 30rmb to go in the whole thing or just 10 rmb to go in the park. You can even get a year long pass to go into the park as much as you want. The park before the temple is really big and pretty. There where many elderly people hanging out playing cards, singing and just chilling. I think the have the year long pass LOL. ^.^

Ok so um King didnt want to go into the actually temple. He was fine with just seing the park and the Temple of Heaven from afar and going. Uh heck naw.... I payed for his ticket and dragged his lazy butt in LOL.

BLOWN!

As seen on facebook. Yesterday Me, King, and Jimmy had a all night movie night till like 5am. ^.^ no wait 6am LOL We went out to the wei-mart, not to be confused with Wal-mart, but the one near our house was closed so off to the one like a mile up the road in the FREEZING cold. Why did we do this? not sure..... We got out snacks and went back and Jimmy was out on the bed. I wanted King & Jimmy to watch The Strangers becuase that was the last scarry movie that actually scarried me and didnt have the traditonal things tooo much blood, too much sex, or the black person dies first. LOL

King Like it I think but Jimmy didnt. I guess they both prefer actually ghost than real crazy people.

The next moring well I should say the next afternoon we to the bank to get set up my bank account and then transfer $3,000 to that bank account then go apply for my visa extention. Ok so apparently in China you cannt extend your visa u have to get a new visa so that means $150 + making a chinese bank account+ $3,000 in a bank account for the 3 month visa you are applying for. So we go to the local chinese bank and we are told to go to the bigger branch. So we do then they tell us they have no ideal about wire transfers. I have never herd of a bank that didnt know what a bank transfer or wire transfer was. They also said that my debit card didnt work and I couldnt withdrawl money from there atm.

I was so pist off and determined to either go home or go to Japan early before my visa expires. This whole process was stupid, as if China didnt want foreigners to be there. King saw how upset I was and tried to confort me but it didnt make since to me at all how such a simple process is sooo complex.

Tomorrow we are going to try a even bigger Chinese bank either HSBC with is international & or Bank of China. Im going to call the visa office and make sure that you cant just use your own local bank because I wouldnt know many foreigners that have there money in Chinese banks that dont live in China. In the booklet as well as online it doesnt say you must have your money in a Chinese banks so im like WTF. I really hope this works out but Im so fustrated right now, and being pushed to my limit. Its even worse cause I have the money and the means to leave China right now.

Tomorrow will be the deciding point cause if these banks dont work then Im either leaving her early or going home.

On a brighter note. King, Jimmy & I finaly took purikura today. But I still have no scanner so no way to upload here. :-(

Bored again and just writing here to pass time. I have been siting here all day, waiting for King to come home so we could go out and have fun today. I was told that he would be home around 11 or 12 so I woke up around 11 took a shower and was ready to go. However It currently 7pm and I haven't gone anywhere today. I called him around 2 and he said he wanted to sleep more since he went to bed at 5 am. Why... I have no ideal. Sigh so i called him at 3:40, 5ish and 6 to find out that his phone was off. I got a message about 30mins from now saying sorry i slept all day ill be home for dinner. WTF is all I can say

Im quite done. With all the stress of needing to extend or basicly get a whole new visa for China, having my parents wire me $3,000 dollars because the Chinese Government wants to know u have m$100 per day eventhough I wont be here for the 23days of that new visa. So about all the things we could have done today u know start the process to renew my visa, get my visa for Japan, gone shopping or whatever..... I spent today playing my ds and watching House (thanks again Kyle ^.^)

Aigoooo yesterday I got to go shopping with King and his friends. However 80% of the time where were out King was shopping for a new coat. We spent like 2 hours looking for a coat in one department store and by time we finished it was time to leave cause we had to get home in time for dinner >.<.

Sigh still 2 more weeks and afew days till I go to Japan and I can't wait.....

Sometimes I think I shoulda went home for this winterbreak, When I think more I could have went home but I planned so early to come here. ....

Yesterday I hung out with Young. For yall who dont know Young is my Korean friend who doesn't live in Seoul LOL and the year when I decided to spend a semester in Korea goes to spend a semester in China >.<>.< King helped me take the subway to Beijing Station to find Young and his friend. However when we got there we couldnt find them for like 30mins because China has tooo many KFC and McDonalds in the SAME AREA!
Young said meet him in KFC and would you believe there where 4 in the same place. One in the train station, one across the street from the train station, one down the street from the train station. Geeeez But we finaly found them.

King look so fustrated and worried leaving me with my friends. LOL He look sooo much like father.. sooo much it was scarry. With the serious face, and reminding me about everything, " Do you have money on your phone, do you have my number written down incase you lose your phone or its stolen, pay attention to the stops, the signs are in english read them... ^.^ But thatshows he really cared and was worried about my safety.

Young took me to Wangfujing which is a REALLY expensive shopping place. However every place was having a sale so it wasnt sooo expensive just alittle. LOL I forgot that Korean's love brands and fashion so LOL yeah we spend the WHOLE day in the malls shopping. I got myself a hoddie and some lotion, facial cream, and a pooh plushie. LOL I saw afew things I liked but I know I can find clothes MUCH cheeper here so I figure I wait and get more for my money.

Young is like a girl LOL I love that boy but he was looking a plushies and calling them cute and has over 10 pairs of shoes. Also that was all we looked at yesterday was shoes. LOL

China wahhhhhh!

Yay I finally found some time to update this thing I just hope the internet lets me actually write this without shutting off or closing or whatever >.<>.<>.<>.<>.< LOL I checked my email and passed out on the bed. I woke up to Kings lovely fart around 1pm the next day LOL LOL I love king to bits but his farts be soundin NASTY ^.^

Ok another thing about one of Kings cousin's is that someone loved Anime like I mean DBZ in the bathroom, Gundam Figures around the room where I was, Death Note figures, Manga everywhere, and in the computer room Pikachu on the blinds. LOL And I thought I liked Anime ^.^ One of Kings Cousins wsa nice enough to give me his figure of L. L's face changes and so does his arms. Its soo cute.

SO we chilled out at the family members house till like 4 or 5 then went to eat dinner at a restaurant with more family. After we ate dinner we went to the movies theater, not to see a movie but to go to the HUGE Arcade in the movie theater. I owned Time Crisis 4 cause of all the times I played Byunghoon (Cry Cry :-( ) I mostly played shooting stuff, and Taiko. Ok I need to rant about that for a bit. Ok so I had no Ideal that there was a CHINESE Taiko game. I really really want to buy this but I'm not sure if they made this for any system. It was cool to play Taiko to Wang Lee hom and Micheal Wong, and S.H.E. ^.^ Ok but Chinese DDR is HARD you have to use your hands as well as your feet. LOL I really want to play Japanese DDR . the Chinese DDR is a better than the Korean one but I want the original where you just use your feet.

Finally after all of this we went back to Kings house. I was so happy when we went back home
